The Person

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in the lubricant, petrochemical, or automotive industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of lubricant market trends, technology, and applications.
  • Market Expertise: Deep knowledge of China’s lubricant industry, regulatory landscape, and business culture.
  • Language: Fluency in Mandarin and English (preferred).
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record in leading large teams, strategic decision-making, and driving business growth.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience in budgeting, P&L management, and financial planning.
  • Negotiation & Stakeholder Management: Ability to build relationships with key customers, government agencies, and partners.

The Job

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the lubricant business in China.
  • Identify market opportunities, key customer segments, and expansion strategies.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. B
  • uild strong relationships with distributors, OEMs, and industry players.

2. Sales & Marketing Leadership

  • Set and achieve revenue targets for China.
  • Oversee sales and marketing strategies to enhance brand positioning.
  • Drive B2B and B2C sales, focusing on automotive, industrial, marine, and aviation lubricants.

3. Product Development & Compliance

  • Work with R&D and technical teams to develop high-quality lubricants.
  • Ensure compliance with China’s regulatory, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives and eco-friendly innovations.

4. Financial & Risk Management

  • Manage P&L, budgeting, and cost control to optimize profitability.
  • Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and taxation policies.

5. Government & Regulatory Affairs

  • Navigate China’s complex business regulations.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and industry associations.
  • Ensure compliance with local environmental and safety laws
