The Person

  • Degree qualification in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5 - 8 years of working experience in Human Resource field, with exposure to management roles within a HR function or any related working experience.

The Job

Lead and oversee the UMW Human Resources & Administration SSC (Shared Service Centre), providing strategic guidance, technical input and operational oversight to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of HR services to the UMW Division.

1. Performance Management & Process Improvement

  • Oversee internal HR processes, leveraging best practices and technology to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and business value.
  • Monitor service performance against SLAs, ensuring compliance with UMW policies and service level expectations.
  • Collaborate with Service Management Team to assess feedback, identify service enhancements, and support performance reporting.
  • Drive process improvements in payroll, rewards, workforce administration, L&D, recruitment, and office administration.
  • Implement innovative solutions and emerging technologies to enhance task effectiveness and efficiency.

2. Operational Management

  • Lead Payroll, HR Operations, Marshals, and Office Administration teams, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
  • Oversee vendor management and listing, sharing requirements on HR technology ecosystem (payroll support, system updates, integrations, data rectification, and license renewals).
  • Establish strong internal controls to ensure compliance, improve efficiency, and optimize resources.
  • Coordinate with UMW Division and internal stakeholders to align processes with evolving business needs.

3. Leadership & People Development

  • Support and motivate HR SSC team members to achieve exceptional performance and professional growth
